Gino Arcaro has a unique 35-year professional career that includes policing, college teaching and program coordinating, strength training, writing, and business. He is the owner of X Fitness, Welland, Ontario and head coach of two football teams: Niagara X-Men (Canada’s only club collegiate-level football team that plays in the USA) and the Burlington Seminoles, a semi-pro football team.
Gino has coached football for 40 seasons, including head coach at 4 different levels (high school, OVFL, college, semi-pro). He has been blessed to have coach thousands of student-athletes on the field and in the gym… student-athletes who have reached remarkable heights both on and off the field.
Gino is a bestselling academic writer. His extensive published works include 19 editions of six law enforcement textbooks (www.emp.ca) and over 200 articles. Gino is currently a case law writer for Reid and Associates, (www.reid.com) an Illinois-based internationally-recognized leader in police interrogation practices.
Gino has expanded his writing to include motivational non-fiction books (Soul of a Lifter) and technical football coaching books (Pass Rush and Deep Force) that explain his unique SWAT System featuring the SWAT no-playbook, no-huddle spread offense and the SWAT no-playbook defense. Gino has been working out for 40 years. In 2001, he started X Fitness, a 24-hour access gym in Welland, Ontario, sponsor of the Niagara X-Men, a non-profit football club that competes against NCAA Division 3 Junior Varsity football teams and American community colleges. His strength coaching career has helped athletes reach the next-level in football, hockey, mixed martial arts, bodybuilding, and law enforcement careers.
Gino has earned a Master of Education degree in organizational and administrative studies, a Bachelor of Science degree, two diplomas from Ontario Police College, a Homicide Investigation certificate from the Center of Forensic Science, and Level 3 National Coaching Certification Program. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate Degree.
